DivaCup How-to Guide 

Inserting The DivaCup

On your first trial with The DivaCup, make sure you are relaxed and have time to read the User Guide thoroughly beforehand. Insertion and removal will only take a few seconds once you master the technique.

Wash your hands well with warm water and soap. Rinse. While sitting or standing in a comfortable position, insert your DivaCup according to the following instructions.With the stem facing downward, fold The DivaCup using one of the methods suggested below. Moisten the rim of The DivaCup with water if needed.  With the vaginal muscles relaxed, gently separate the labia with your free hand and then push the curved edge of the folded DivaCup into the vaginal opening. Release, then run your finger along the outside edge to be sure it's fully opened. Then, bringing it downward slightly, turn it in order to create a gentle seal.

Please note: If The DivaCup is uncomfortable or leaking, then it is not positioned properly. In order to get the best results it is very important to insert it correctly.

Pinch the sides of the cup together, then fold over again.

Push one side of the cup in to itself, then pinch the sides together

Removing The DivaCup

Bear down and squeeze the bottom until you feel the seal release, then remove.  

Empty into the toilet and rinse or wipe out your cup thoroughly before reinserting.

At the end of your cycle, wash your DivaCup thoroughly with soap or DivaWash and hot water.  

The DivaCup can also be boiled when necessary. Rinse, air-dry and store in a cool, dry place.
