What our customers say..
Just a little background on me, I'm 21 years old and I had not ovulated or had a menstrual period in over 2 years due to medical issues. Now that the issue is resolved, my body seems to be making up for lost time. I had always used either disposables or washrags but they don't do the job very well! I am very appreciative that there is a company out there genuinely interested in helping girls/women get in tune with their bodies in a very natural way. It is so nice that you take time out of your own lives to help others. I also love the way that you chose your company name to be in tune with nature and the moon cycles - just like our periods.
I am moved that someone took the time to think out and craft something so perfectly suited for my body. The pads are a joy to care for. They're no chore whatsoever to wash; it provides me with some much-needed time to reflect. Most importantly, they feel and work great! As I mentioned before, they are beautifully designed. This entire Lunapads experience has really been like a second, healed version of menarche. How many women get this chance, I wonder? You can be sure that I'll spread the word to the women I love – Lunapads are the best. A thousand thanks, and keep up the good work!
Having just gone off the pill, Seasonale, I was dreading my monthly period. I got used to having my period 4x a year -- but with heavy flow, a lot of cramping, and itchy pads. Searching for other alternatives, I came across your website and it was like the light flicked on. I immediately ordered an Intro Kit and got my supply a day before I was to start. It was the first time I was actually excited to get my period - pretty pads and knowing I was helping the environment. I was in awe. Not only were they extremely comfortable, I practically forgot I was wearing a pad. No more irritation either! I was worried that there'd be an odor but I have found disposable pads actually leave an odor, not these. I'm 100% impressed and have told my friends about Lunapads and The DivaCup.
My daughter was born on a bed lined with leopard Lunablankets - they're so much nicer than paper pads! In the days after her birth, I lounged on Lunablankets wherever I sat. At night, they where so soft to sleep on! The Lunablankets are so fabulous for sleeping on when you're nursing. Sometimes the early nursing days can be a wet affair! My daughter and I would curl up in bed on a Lunablanket. If it got too wet I would just pull it off and replace it with a clean one. I've birthed four babies, and this was the most comfortable I've ever been postpartum. Not only were your products tender on my recovering body, but they were attractive, too. Thanks for helping to preserve this incredibly feminine and sexy period of my life! I'm delighted to support a business run by people who respond to email while their baby is sleeping! I also am very sensitive to what I put on or in my body, as well as the earth. So along with my being vegetarian, recycling and making my own household cleaners, reusable pads seem the next obvious choice. The fact that I will save money overall because I bought reusables? Awesome! I have told only a few people about these so far, as I'm still sensitive to what people think of me, and most people have had negative reactions (eeeeew). I am hoping to change their minds. If my husband thinks its great, every woman should! I had been debating cloth pads for about a year. Mostly it was part of the eco-kick I've been on. And I figured they couldn't possibly be any more uncomfortable than anything else I had tried. So I ordered a Lunapads sample pack about two weeks ago. Two days ago I started my period and I am very happy to wear these pads. They're so comfortable! They don't stick to me, they don't come unstuck and bunch up, and they keep me much dryer than any disposable pad I have ever tried. They barely even feel like I'm wearing a pad. I love them! I will definitely be recommending you to friends. I have endometriosis, so periods have always been something to dread, and have even felt vaguely traumatic. For years I suppressed my cycle with medications. I am now preparing my body for conception, and so the period is back. I decided to finally give Lunapads a try, and I'm so glad I did. I hadn't realized how uncomfortable disposable pads were until now, but what a difference! For the first time I actually found myself looking forward to my period, pain and all. It's hard to explain how Lunapads have changed my feelings towards my cycle, but they absolutely have.
Then I heard about Lunapads after some research - the blogs were on fire about organic re-usable pads. For the past 2 years, I've been using Lunapads - is it just me, or does my period seem shorter? No itch. The pads last and last, and I haven't had a stain yet. I also have a ton of Lunapanties underwear, which is the only underwear I wear on the day to day basis (ok, so for special nites out, I use special underwear, but these organic Lunapads are fantastic on the day to day!) Thank you Lunapads. I am proud that there is a Canadian company doing such wonderful things for women, and the environment. Kudos! Having my Lunapanties as something cozy and comforting against my skin was just a small thing I could do to ease what I was going through. I couldn't imagine having to use horribly scented and uncomfortable plastic pads during this time when I was feeling so fragile. Being able to wear the Lunapanties made me feel more like myself. After my son was born three years ago I was looking for something that would not irritate my eczema. I decided to try Lunapads. I ordered the biggest heaviest pads I could find, thinking that they would barely be enough and I would be in the bathroom every two hours. I was totally wrong. I had to come back and order lighter flow pads, these things are AMAZING! I started using the lighter flow pads while waiting for my body to adjust to the Mirena I had inserted soon after my son's birth. It never did and I used Lunapads every single day for 2 years. When I found out I was expecting again, I knew I would be returning to Lunapads for postpartum care. I was yet again impressed! Thank you Lunapads! For everyone on the fence about these, here's how each of my concerns were resolved: First, I was afraid they were going to be thicker than paper pads, which they are (not by much, but still). The thing is, they more than make up for it in comfort. They don't stick, or crinkle, or itch (God Forbid!). So all in all, they are more comfortable! Next, I simply didn't want to have to wash them.... but that was easy too. I very strongly recommend the Moon Pad bag. Slip one off, slip one on, quick, easy, and no obvious trash left behind! I take them into the shower to rinse them, and use my second set while the others are in the wash. After a couple washes they are still soft and comfy and absorbent as ever! I had a lot of concerns about these but let me tell you they have more than satisfied me! I adore all the patterns, and it's no joke - it really does make you feel much better about a process that is completely natural! And then a couple years ago, I started hearing about menstrual cups. I thought it sounded disgusting and messy, but ladies I know swear by them. I did some research, found out the DivaCup is large enough that I probably wouldn't ever need to change it in public restrooms, and that I could safely wear it in the days before an expected period, and I was sold. The DivaCup took a little practice to insert properly, and I had a few light leaks (Lunapads Pantyliners did the trick) until I got the hang of it. But now I'm an ace at it! I'm more confident on my period than I've ever been, and I feel a lot safer knowing I have the cup with me in case my period is unpredictable. Somehow it's less embarrassing than carrying around tampons. I would not go back at this point. The cup can be a little messy (not by virtue of itself, but because I have to put my fingers in the messy area to insert or remove it), but it's not bad. And it saves me both money and embarrassment. It's a great product I'd recommend to any woman. The first time, I was completely amazed at how much more comfortable they were than disposables - it was almost like being able to wear my favourite flannel pjs everywhere during the day. Thanks to these beautiful reusables, I've felt so much more empowered about my periods. AND I've also become much healthier and aware of my body as the years have gone by. It's amazing what a big difference a first step like this can make in a woman's life. THANK YOU! Keep up the great work! When I first placed my order, I thought washing them would be gross and dirty and something I would just have to "put up with," but I actually don't mind washing them at all. It's no harder than any of my other laundry, and they've held up beautifully (no staining, no shrinking, very, very minimal fading with the dark colors). Since switching to Lunapads and realizing how much money we've saved not having to buy disposables every month and discovering how easy they are to care for, I'm seriously considering cloth diapering when we have a baby. Thanks, Lunapads! I really feel good about using less garbage and it's something that's better for my body as well. I'm a nurse so there really wasn't an "eww factor" to this process. I'm loving your pads and will certainly pass on your website to my environmentally conscious friends. So glad I found your site! Thank you Lunapads! I will never go back to tampons. In fact I got a back up DivaCup just in case I dropped one down an out house or something. Really i would recommend it to every women, I am now a serious seller to all my women friends! I would have never thought to look for something like this for environmental reasons, I had thought about how wasteful pads and tampons are but had never thought to look for something else until the prospect of biking for a week in the heat and camping on my period with leaky bulky tampons!!! Bottom line: BEST PRODUCT EVER! I am thrilled with not having used feminine products in the waste basket. Though the cost was a shock initially, I know that it has saved me money in the long run. I love not having to dash to the drug store at the last minute. I am a convert for the rest of my reproductive life, when this one needs to be replaced, I will definitely be back!

When I recently started a birth control pill that can cause spotting, I put in an order for pantyliners and more Lunapanties; I can use them every day in my cycle without feeling wasteful, and they make great backups for the DivaCup during my period. They are also unobtrusive -- I'm already accustomed to cloth panties, so I don't even notice the extra fabric. I remember frequently becoming annoyed at the failure of the adhesives on disposable pads, but the design of Lunapads is reassuringly fuss-free and secure. Thank you so much for this product. I am so happy I stumbled across Lunapads, they have really changed my life! They are ridiculously comfortable, they have completely eliminated the rashes I used to get from disposable pads - I didn't know I could live life without getting them every month. I also got the DivaCup to use while swimming and kayaking and I am so glad I never have to use tampons again. Just looking at those disposable products and their toxicity makes me want to say: Thank you thank you thank you! In the eight years since, my yeast infections have all but vanished and I have no need of the prescription creams to control my psoriasis symptoms. My periods are more predictable. I have tried several cloth pads but I love my Luna Pads the best! I love your products. I purchased some pads and liners and a pair of panties for my active days. After only one cycle, I am going to be a lifelong customer! I felt so much better knowing I was using a product that didn't harm the planet. Not to mention that it was the easiest period I have ever had with less cramps, less problems, and more enjoyment of my body. I am now a Lunapads evangelist and I am putting the pamphlets I ordered in places I know they will find an audience. I love that I am supporting an independent business run by women and for women and I love the product and what they do for me. My husband asked me what I would like for Mother's Day and I told him, "More Luna pads, please!" Prior to my switch, I had all of the common objections to reusable pads...that they would be hard to clean/take care of, that people would be able to tell, that they wouldn't be as reliable as disposable pads. My health and concerns about the environment inspired me to purchase a trial kit and I never looked back. None of my objections were true! In fact, the exact opposite of each is true! Lunapads are easy to care for, easy to use, completely reliable...and they are actually comfortable to wear! But the best thing about them is how they make me feel. I feel more connected to myself, to my body, and to this planet. Plus, I have none of the health issues I had prior to my switch. Lunapads are an incredible product, it's an incredible company, and making the switch will change your periods forever. I've suffered painful periods (dysmenorrhea) since beginning my cycle at 11 years old. Lunapads have really helped with general discomfort of menstruating: nice and soft against delicate skin and no moisture trapped to cause chaffing. And no more bulky bags of bleached pads to store! Thanks Lunapads for great products! Lunapads have exceeded all of my expectations and are one of the best products I have ever had in my possession! They are extremely comfortable (no more of the uncomfortable plastic-type stuff!), work perfectly, and are worth every penny! Thank you! My friends thought I was crazy, but I gave a speech on the subject. I spoke to my nursing class about the benefits of using cloth over disposable pads and how the diva cup has revolutionized my period experience. The audience was a little timid, but after class I had a group of women asking me questions about the products. I have even informed my gynecologist about the revolution of using cloth pads and the diva cup. All in all, I am one happy woman saving the environment one pad and tampon at a time. I'm on the heaviest day of my cycle right now, with no leaks, and the DivaCup is so comfortable that if I didn't have cramps right now, I'd probably forget that I have my period. The pantyliner is super soft and comfy. I was worried it would slide around because I'm used to my disposables twisting, bending and bunching, but the pantyliner is staying put, I guess because the texture of the fabric lets it cling to the underwear just so. Best of all, I'm fresh and dry, without the stickiness and consequent itching from those unbreathable disposable liners, yuck. I'm never looking back! You have a lifelong customer in me. Thank you so much for giving me control and making my period pleasant! The Diva cup is pretty impressive, too - not once did it leak even the tiniest bit, and I could leave it in for a full twelve hours without worrying. The liners are so soft and comfortable and the different shape-styles offered means a wider range of fits for different body types. Thanks Lunapads for making an awesome product! My debit card company had made a mistake and doubled my transactions from Lunapads. I called my bank to get this fixed, and of all the things they requested that a FAX be sent to them from Lunapads stating that the funds are to be released and why. I thought this was ridiculous and unfair, but I called Sara back anyways and asked her to do this for me. She took the time out of her busy day to fax these silly people and within an hour I had the extra money back from my bank. So, thank you Lunapads.com - and double thanks to miss Sara! The lunapads website and everyone who works with lunapads is so friendly and encouraging. The products are all a wonderful quality, and very durable. The information the site provides is also wonderful! I can not be happier with the way I handle my period now, and knowing that my impact on the earth is just a little bit less. Thank you ladies for all your hard work! After using Lunapads, I've realized that much of the irritation and general unpleasantness I thought was just part of having my period was actually caused by the disposable pads themselves! After a few days of using Lunapads, I used a disposable - it was SO uncomfortable. Lunapads are much softer and more comfortable, don't bunch up, don't stick to tender, delicate areas, don't shift and (so far!) don't leak. Even with the heaviest, longest disposable maxis, I ALWAYS experienced leaks at night - not so with Lunapads! If you're on the fence, just give Lunapads a try. Don't worry about washing and maintenance - as long as you rinse and soak them as soon as possible before washing, you'll be fine. I'm so impressed with Lunapads, I'm considering giving the DivaCup a try, too! On a new kick to reduce my environmental impact, and always having been frugal, I bought a Diva Cup and a couple pads for lighter days. It took a little to get used to inserting and removing the cup, but in no time I was hooked. Yes, I save money and am helping reduce my environmental impact. But you know what else? I really don't mind my period at all anymore. I've gone from wanting to remove myself from the world the day it starts to actually having it be like any other day. Dare I say I look forward to it? Because each time I am still amazed at how much easier this little thing makes my life: No leaks, no having to remember to stick a few tampons in my purse, my car, etc, no trying to remember when I last changed my tampon and worrying if I should have used a heavier one... I spent a lot of time on your web site before making my purchase and found it to have answers to every question I had. The instructions that came with my cup were easy to understand. Thank you, thank you - for a great product, a great web site, and helpful customer service.
About 4 years ago I was struggling with regular tampons. They hurt to wear and I hated the idea of chemicals inserted into my body. I switched to organic tampons, but they were pricey and continued to be a pain to use. One day I got fed up and called my friend. We talked about the diva cup at great length and I reluctantly purchased one. It came in the mail days before my period. Upon using this product it didn’t take long to fall in love. When I ordered my DivaCup, I purchased 2 Lunapads Pantyliners for back-up. It wasn’t long before I was in love with both! I told all of my friends and continue to tell random women I meet. I actually look forward to my period now!
The DivaCup is not only environmentally friendly, but it's helped me finally stop dreading my period.
